Florida KOA

If I haven't explained yet what KOA's are, they are a series of independently owned and operated campsites. They are an incredibly cheap way of traveling if you don't mind freezing temperatures. It got down to somewhere in the 30's last night. I came up with a plan to line my sleeping bag with one of my extra blankets and then fold my comforter up under my sleeping bag for added cushioning. All that combined with my hoodie pulled tight around my face left me feeling extra cozy last night. It's probably the best night of sleep I've had all trip. I was warm all night.

We woke up too late for breakfast again but we're going to stop at Waffle House. This KOA has a mini golf course! I convinced Tim to play with me but he was very unenthusiastic. That's okay because I totally kicked his butt. Hmm, I should build a minigolf course myself... Anyway, our next stop, after passing through Alabama again, is Atlanta Georgia to stay with my cousin Kate! Oh did I mention on here that we passed through the tail ends of both Mississippi and Alabama last night? They were mostly uninteresting and dark. We slept in the upper west tip of Florida, not the good part, but at least I can say I've been to Florida.

  1. Dan Tim,
Timothy told me how to use this magic box to write something to you. Took me this long just to learn how to "Post a Comment" however now I know how. (I think??) Your trip is great and your blog is very funny. I am so glad you guys took a real "Road Trip". Can't think of any bad "puns" but I will try later. I will no longer take the up and downs of your trip for granite.

    Keep on Keeping on,
    Love, Dad.
