On the Road

On our way out of Florida we stopped in a quaint little town called Milton. WE stepped out of the car and were greeted with Christmas music juts flowing through the air. I immediately noticed a comic book shop, my nerd sense was tingling. We glanced around it but didn't buy anything. Then we walked down by the river. Tim was nervous because he thought he saw some Junkadoons but they turned out to just be high school kids. There was a very cool war memorial with a lot of statues. Plus the ground basically looked like Captain America's shield.

They were setting up Christmas decorations all around town, getting in the spirit early.

Later we stopped in Auburn Alabama. We contemplated going to Auburn University campus but missed the exit. We got off at the next exit to pee at a Best Buy. I tried out the Microsoft Kinect. It was actually pretty cool. Overall still pretty gimmicky, but the motion controls were really precise, definitely a step above the Wii and Move. I may have to reconsider buying one... We ultimately decided to stop at the college. Apparently a football game had just ended. The campus was crawling with fans and families enjoying themselves. Barbecues were set up everywhere and kids were tossing pigskins. The campus was really beautiful and large. Two story brick buildings lined the streets. Tall trees gave a secluded feeling. Tim said he'd be willing to go to school there.

We finally made it to Georgia and we're only an hour away from my cousin Kate's place. Hooray for having a couch to sleep on.

  1. Looking good. Do they talk funny in Georgia? Do they like people from California?
