New Orleans

We drove into New Orleans after our Star Wars experience. Entering New Orleans was amazing. The approaching drive takes you through endless swampland which was something I'd never seen before. The 10 highway is raised and basically drives through the swamp. Trees sticking out of fields of water. At one point we drove over the edge of a lake that spanned until it disappeared on the horizon line.

In the city we stopped at the information booth and learned what we should see. We parked and started walking through the French Quarter. We walked down Royal Street which is one over from Burbon. The buildings were all packed together with balconies. Street performers lined the streets. They were actually filming a Capitol One viking commercial! Very old feeling city. We found a quaint little cafe in a courtyard between buildings and now we're having lunch.
